Is Robotic Equipment the Right Choice for my facility?

Benefits

Using Robotic equipment for standard cleaning allows for an increase in the quality, consistency and availability of cleaning within a facility. Robotic equipment is set to clean a path and it maps its route. This
allows you to see every inch of flooring was cleaned in a consistent pattern.

Robotics at a glance:

• Consistency - A robot can clean consistently with mapped routes to ensure 98-99% coverage of
your facility. While humans can miss up to 15% of space.

• Versatility – If a worker needs to use the unit for an unexpected need, the robot can be diverted from their round, then pick up exactly where they left off.

• Reporting – Data from the machine can facilities understand exact cleaning needs, see patterns develop
to allow greater efficiency, and repeated issues needing attention.

• Safety – Robotic units are equipped with multiple sensors to avoid collision and minimize risk/damage.
Advanced sensors allow the units to pause when obstacles are in the way or send pictures to a manager in case resolution is needed. They also keep our staff safe, by using robots to clean high risk/dangerous areas.

Robotics allow humans to perform more important, detailed tasks like disinfecting high touch points. Robotic units still need humans to empty recovery tanks, fill cleaning solution, replace squeegee blades/brushes/pads, etc. They are tools to help us clean more efficiently, free up valuable time to do more hands on detailed cleaning, and resolve any issues their reporting may bring to our awareness.

What You Need to Know:

Many manufacturers offer rent, lease, or buying options to help you choose what is right for your facility. Training, maintenance, mapping routes, and other start up needs are required when adopting robotic equipment. Make sure the vendor you are working with has all the information you need to make the right choice.

Robotic units will change our cleaning industry, but they are not the right choice for every facility. Do your research, gather your information and use a trusted vendor to ensure it is the right fit for your facility.
